Hello, Gary and everyone.  I am in the process of selecting a flight school and was wondering if anyone could provide me with their opinion(s) regarding Jet University in Ft. Lauderdale?  Thanks!

I, too, was trying to get some info on them. It seems to be really fast paced but very educational. The website was absolutly horrible at giving out info so the best thing would be to call i guess. I have looked at Flight Safety and it seems like a great school. So, i want to see if this school will offer more.

From a Student that has gone throught the program let me Tell you to not think twice about this place.  First off Heat Cohen and the other Two partners are old Gulf Stream Academy people that are hated by the airline community.  Second off they offer more then they can give.  One is the Job Gur. the first class to have people not get hired Jet U did nothing for them breaking every rule in there contract.  And for the living situation in there dorms lets just say your paying way to much.  I have a budy in Flight Safety and is living on Campus and was paying 100 ro 150 less then me he was sharing a place with 2 other guys but had a room as big as mine and his own personel TV, Stove, Microwave and other important things including a maid that came a couple times a week at Flight Safety.  Compared to Jet U community Broom and no oven.

If they are telling you they give you 20 Hrs of CRj full motion ask to see the contract and in there you will see no mention of CRJ full motion nor 20 hours but you will see comparable aircraft and upto 20 hrs.  Which trnaslates to 4hrs in full motion 2hrs at the controls and 2hrs as Pilot monitoring.  And for the aircraft they put you in a MD-80 no where near a CRJ200/700/900 the last time I checked.

And for the training that Jet U supplies well I have to give them a little praise hear but only for muscle memory which some one like you could do your self with a little disaplin.  But besides that they offer nothing more.  There training has turned out such low quality Pilots that Pinnacle Airlines has pulled there contract with them.  Reason for this is one Jet U student experienced the Stick Shaker shortly after take off and was sent back to training.  Another has been on IOE 2 months longer then scheduled and is facing being fired if he doesnt get his approaches down within the next couple of weeks.  These are only a couple of people from a long list of complaints

Quoting my other reply to your other post on this school Bill:
Bill, that doesn't match at all what a friend of mine told me that he experienced while attending Jet U.

I also noticed in another post that you stated Pinnacle pulled up stakes with them. I was also thinking I would attend there since my buddy made it through with what he says is a great experience, and is now working at Pinnacle. So because of what you said, I called Cynthia in their pilot recruiting department and she says that this is far from true. Their web site also currently shows it as an approved bridge program. Jet U is in the top 2 listed actually.

So did you complete the training at Jet U Bill? If so tell us more about what happened to you there please, and why you are personally so bitter with them.
