1  Starting Out / General Discussion and Introductions / A question about age on: May 21, 2008, 09:38:55 pm
Forgive the ignorance of my question.  My darling husband will be 50 in September.  He was a flight instructor for years, has his multi engine rating, IFR and VFR...He got away from flying because of money but has been talking about it again.  I would be willing to support him in this, but is he too old to start over?  Will anyone even hire him as a commercial pilot?  The other question is how quickly to the pay numbers increase.  I could scrimp and save for a little while, but I would need to know that there is an end in sight.

Any advice would be appreciated.  He is in a job right now that he clearly hates.  I want to see him happy again.
