Title: What type of pilot are you or are you going to be? Post by: Colton on January 11, 2008, 12:43:42 pm Since we're all sharing and getting to know eachother, what kind of pilot are you now, and how far do you want to go? My plan is to go the distance: I want to fly in the Boeing/Airbus airline/freight areas. I know it will take lots of hours and lots of hard work, and maybe even some military time, but I'm willing to do it!

Actually I started with helicopters but that training is much much more expensive because of the aircraft rental. (A 2 place helicopter can rent for about $250/hour.) As of right now I have 7 hours of fixed wing training. I want to get my PPL and then my Instrument Rating. Then after that I might get a helicopter add-on.

Now that I am older but only as young as 12 i am starting to understand more things about training and am looking at books Now i have decided I want to be a commercial pilot for either American Airlines or United Airways.
