Title: New to fourm
Post by: Michael on October 19, 2007, 11:18:05 PM
Hi everyone I am Michael.

To make this short and sweet I am 21 years old, in the Marines.  I have always wanted to fly for joy or for work (perferablily work.)  I have basic info on what it takes to beable to fly for hire.  I have read a few books and have basic understandings.  Well I want to fly for a police dept or US Customs and Border Protection.  I was wanted to know if anyone had any info on flying for either one of these.  Thanks in advance.

Hi Michael:

You might want to check your local career days. A lot of times they will show up there trying to recruit people.

I am pretty sure the police forces will require you to be on the street for four years or so. A long time ago I looked into the DEA and they wanted you on the street first.

You are young enough that you have plenty of options

You have probably found a lot of info since you posted this.
