Title: Medical Certificate Post by: Rich on September 07, 2007, 10:26:34 AM Does anyone know the process in as far as medical certificates with regardes to Class 1, 2 and 3. I want to get one but dont know what is all inlvovled with what they do as far as classifications. Do they check you more thoroughly for a Class 1 as opposed to Class 3? What do they check for? Do they check for anything and everything possible?
I am in a career change at 37 y.o. and interested in learning how to fly. I would hope that someday I could learn how to fly a jet. I was reading that it would be very wise for a person to go to their family doctor and get a physical and then goto a FAA medical doctor. If you get denied with the FAA doctor then you have to goto to one at Oklahoma City, OK to get things worked out. If I goto my family doctor for the intention of getting a Class 1, then what do I tell him to look for or test for? Rich |
