Post by: Hani on October 20, 2006, 07:12:54 AM
Hello to all!
I need some opinions for teh pilot/pilot tudent society. I am 27 currently a professional health care providor. I have never been intrested in my line of work. Infact my sole dream was to be a an airline pilot since I was 3. Now, do you think taking that big caree change step is a good idea? how do I start? Where to go? Thanx.

Follow your dreams.  I can tell you that here in the US we do not need any more doctors that do not like their jobs!!  Lawyers too!!  There is no problem with a career change in your mid twenties; I did it.  I got my private license when I was 27, now I fly cargo.  A lot more gratifying than my last job managing a credit union!!

Start by keeping your job until you get at least your comm ticket. First thing would be to contact an airline that you would consider working for and ask them for the best chance at getting hired program. You need a lot of flight time and flight time costs money.
