Title: General Question
Post by: Winky0210 on August 28, 2006, 04:10:45 AM
hey everyone, i've been visiting this site since February of this year, but it's been awhile since I have posted (computer use time goes down a lot during the summer), I was just wondering if there is an area, or if one can be created, where everyone lists their home airport/where there from so it may be possible for pilots to network, get to know other pilots in their area, possibly low time pilots can meet/start flying together to build time and split the costs, ect., just a thought...

That sounds like i good idea. especially for me as i am based in the U.K and visit the U.S.A on a regular basis and it would be good to meet up with other low time pilots and get their opinions on flying in your country.

I am more than willing to help out in the Memphis, TN area.  Anyone visiting or that lives here that would like to get together let me know.  I am pretty well versed with the Class B, since I fly FedEx cargo out of MEM 4 times a week in a Caravan.  I have also flown in and out of OLV and the other local airports.

Sorry for the delay in getting back, I missed this message.

That is a GREAT idea, let me see what I can do.

I'm not flying yet but I'm all over the place. I own a Tractor Trailer (It's paying for flight school) and can be anywhere. This would really help me get off the ground.

I agree, I just joined the group (literally 5 minutes ago...) and this would be great.  I'm one of those people that can read a book or watch a video and learn a little, or I can sit and talk with a real person for a little while and learn TONS.  Meeting up would be highly educational...

Great idea!! I am living in the Seattle area and fly out of Seatac for an airline. I would be happy to sit with anyone in the area for a bit a talk about flying or getting into the career.

This is a great idea!  Let me see if I can figure out a way to do this.  Perhaps I can add an AIRPORT to the profile?
