Title: Back to flying
Post by: jandasmo on August 13, 2006, 05:18:07 PM
Hi everyone!

I'm a 48 year old woman restarting my flight training (PPL) after 31 years.  I passed the ground school and soloed in high school, then my CFI moved away and I never got back to it.

Well, the kids are gone, I'm on my own and started new lessons last week.  I'm having a great time!

Hi jandasmo

Welcome back to flying...that sounds like what I did. Started at 16, stopped at 16 and started back when I was single at 40.   Now at 50 I still love it :-)

Keep us posted on the progress!

Not such an unusual story as I have learned. Congrats on getting back in the saddle. Having learned to fly and then giving it up for awhile - I found that the second time was better then the first - I was more mature and more deeply into learning!

Best of luck and safe flying!
