Title: Pilot Exam Learning DVD's
Post by: Allen on December 18, 2007, 06:41:49 AM
There are many ground school learning DVD packages out there that range from $199 and up through Kings to Sporty. Which is the best or is there others?

Allen, Welcome to the group!
I'm very new but I know there are several different companies that make such DVD's. Two others I've heard of are Jeppesen and Gleim. I've also heard of "Cleared For Takeoff" which I think is Cessna's own brand.
I have some of the King Schools materials from helicopter training and I like them a lot but I cannot make a comparison because I haven't used any others.
Some flight schools require students to purchase a particular one, so you might check with the school(s) you're interested in first.

I've personally seen a lot of Jeppesen stuff and I know it comes highly reccomended and I like the way they present the material.

My flight school offers DVDs and VHS that we may check out. They also had a website we could contact to rent DVDs from for ground school info. Something you may want to look into thats cheaper.
