I am a member of AOPA.  I got an AFD magazine with my subscription and it is good for a year but my instructor says it is not an approved AFD so I cannot use it.  This sucks because the others are only for like 57 days or so and they costs a lot.  Does anyone know if this is true of the AFD magazine not being an approved type??
