Justin started flying in 2001 when a family friend and instructor gave him his first flight lesson. He attained his private pilot license while still in high school, flying to places like Salt Lake City to go snowboarding or wherever the $100 hamburger guide would recommend. In 2008 Justin decided to make a career out of a passion and in two years went from being a private pilot to a Certified Flight Instructor. He also holds an Advanced Ground Instructor and Instrument Ground Instructor certificate. While becoming a CFII, Justin immersed himself in the aviation community working a number of jobs at his local airport. A few of those jobs included cleaning charter planes, working the front desk at a flight school, loading luggage for Allegiant Air and delivering new and used planes all over the country for a Cessna dealer. Justin moved to Kauai after flying cargo for 18 months building multi-engine experience in a Cessna 402, as well as flying for an Aerial Photographer covering four states in the Midwest. Justin is fulfilling his dream of living on Kauai, and teaching others about his passion for aviation.  Aside from flying, Justin has been an avid scuba diver since the age of eleven, diving on shipwrecks in Lake Superior to spear fishing on the Missouri River.
