Step-By-Step Guide to Redeeming your Groupon Voucher
This only looks complicated, but it's easy.
Congratulations on the Great Deal you received through Groupon! Listed below are the step-by-step instructions on how to redeem your Groupon voucher for a Pilot Journey Discovery Flight Certificate, as Flight Schools WILL NOT accept a Groupon Voucher for a Discovery Flight - only Pilot Journey Discovery Flight Certificates.
Step 1: First off, what you will need from your Groupon Voucher is the 6 to 8 character Promotional Code. This code begins with a letter and is not the Groupon order number.
If you don’t see a 6 to 8 Character alpha-numeric code beginning with a letter, then look for either the Groupon #, Redemption Code, or Support ID # that will be four numbers dash two letters, e.g. 1234-AB. You will need to enter only the four numbers, the “-,” and the two letters (this is not case sensitive). You will need to either open the voucher from your "My Groupons" or print the voucher in order to see the instructions on how to redeem and the promotional code.
Step 2: Once you have the Groupon promotional code, then simply go to our Discovery Flight Certificateproduct page: http://www.pilotjourney.com/pstore/buy-certificate.php
1) Click "Add to Cart"
2) Fill out Billing & Shipping Information and click "Next"
3) Choose Shipping method (**Please Note the shipping amount is Not covered by your Groupon Voucher and you will be responsible for payment**) and personalize the Certificate, if you choose, then click "Next"
4) Enter your promotional code beginning with a letter and click "apply" - Please note that your total should only be for the shipping and handling method you chose. If your promotional code does not apply the full discount, then please contact us to verify and/or reset the code.
5) On the left side of the checkout page, the amount of the certificate will not change.....Only the discount amount and total amount will change (this is where your discount will show, it will not appear next to the discount code box). These codes are 1 time use only, so once you click "Apply" if you click "Back" or for some reason you are unable to complete the order, then please either send us an email here or call us at 888-696-2390 to reset your Promotional Code.
6) Choose payment option, fill out information and then click "Place Order"

. The first one will be a "Thank You for your order" and the second email will be a copy of your receipt with the attached printable PDF copy of your certificate.
Step 3: Once you have your Pilot Journey Discovery Flight Certificate, then you may find a participating flight school and schedule your flight (just remember to look for the "Discovery Flight Buy Now" icon next to a school's listing to indicate participation in our program). You may call any of the schools directly to schedule your flight once you have purchased the gift certificate. Remember to tell the flight school that you have a Pilot Journey Discovery Flight certificate when scheduling your flight.
