Last summer I met Michael Combs at AirVenture in Oshkosh. At that time he was a new pilot following his dream of flight, it was a familiar story that we've all heard but something was different about him. He was truly a man on a mission to light up hearts and bring strong, positive attention to the aviation industry.
Michael is the pilot for "The Flight for the Human Spirit." Next April he will take off in a Light Sport aircraft and fly into all fifty states, (and yes that does include Alaska and Hawaii). He will be stopping at 135 airports and flying over 18,400 miles on his trip. His message is to tell 20 million people that it is never EVER too late to follow your dreams. Michael is inspiring the world in a way that I have never seen before. He is flying a new Remos GX (named Hope One) which will be the most technologically equipped LSA in the sky. His podcasts are listened to around the world and his fan base and web hits increase each and every week. Already he is bringing amazing attention to our industry and is leading by his example, which is very rare in this day and age.
I personally believe so much in The Flight for the Human Spirit that Pilot Journey has partnered with Michael.
