Established in 1968, we are located in Melbourne, Florida, and are a wholly-owned subsidiary of Florida Institute of Technology. As an integral part of the College of Aeronautics, we support the aviation program through our flight training activities.
Our motto is "Succeed Above and Beyond". Using the latest in FAA publications for guidance and a very diverse fleet of 40 aircraft, we provide our students with the best in aviation education from Private Pilot through Airline Transport Pilot, and Flight Instructor Airplane, Instrument, Multiengine. In addition we offer unique courses such as Conventional Gear, basic Aerobatics, Complex Instruments, Advanced Cockpit, and Air Taxi.
Since its beginning, aviation has attracted people who wish to get the most out of life. If you are a person who is not satisfied with "ordinary", you probably belong here. As you examine FIT Aviation, we invite you to look beyond the obvious commitment to the future of our graduates - i.e., a brand-new new facility and fleet - and take the time to learn about the extraordinary people of FIT Aviation. Our relationship with the FIT College of Aeronautics creates a powerful flow of intelligent, highly-motivated people who love aviation. Many of those people teach here and they make learning fun and satisfying.
It is easy to think of aviation as only being about airplanes. For us, aviation is also about personal relationships, training successes, launching careers, staying in touch with our roots, celebrating our past and looking forward with excitement to our future. We invite you to join us and become part of this unique and terrific aviation education family. Please also know that every member of our extraordinary staff is at your service. We look forward to getting to know you and celebrating your success!
