For the first time in North America, AirVenture will provide the opportunity for the global aviation community and the public to admire the world's largest passenger airliner on static display and in flight.

2008 event drew thousands of women aviators to Oshkosh

EAA AVIATION CENTER, OSHKOSH, Wis. - (April 3, 2009) - The success of last year's inaugural WomenVenture gathering has inspired EAA and Women in Aviation International to unveil plans for more programs and activities this year at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. The 57th annual EAA fly-in convention, "The World's Greatest Aviation Celebration," will be held July 27-August 2 at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh.

The Fly-in Committee, chaired by John Sulley, is completing arrangements for the 10^th running of this extremely popular and successful event. The location is central to all states of the West, and one that has an excellent airport with both paved and grass runways, a fine campground, nearby hotel/motel facilities, and considerable historic interest.
