Posted by GaryBradshaw in Pilot Journey , Flight Training Business

Yes, we have been really silent about this new web site called AttendStar.  It is an event ticketing and event registration system that we will use to help aviation related events get attendees.

AttendStar is being used for International Learn to Fly Day which is being held May 15, 2010.  With over 300 venues and 800 seminars this is a really huge project.  However AttendStar has a great team of people behind it, including Kelly McNoldy the Operations Manager.  If you are interested in learning more about AttendStar visit web site or call them at (800) 526-3040.

FAA Proposing Changes to Pilot, Flight Instructor & School Rules

Posted by GaryBradshaw in Flight Training Business

The FAA is proposing several changes to the pilot, flight instructor, and pilot school certification rules.

One proposal would allow future pilots to apply for a private license and an instrument rating at the same time. Other proposals would require pilot in command (PIC) proficiency checks for pilots who act as PIC of single-pilot, turbojet-powered airplanes, as well as revise the definition of a ‘‘complex airplane.''
