Helicopter Pilots & Instructors Pilots & Instructors
Upper Limit Aviation is a growing company. We believe in hiring all of
our future employees from within. By only hiring flight instructors who
have completed our training program, we are able to guarantee
consistency and maintain the high standards we have set. Our flight
instructors are from all over the U.S. and they chose to complete their
helicopter training with Upper Limit. Instructor backgrounds range from
forest fire-fighting and snow cat operators to carpentry and college
students with even a couple world-class mountaineers. This diversity
shows it doesn’t take a background in aviation to become a helicopter
pilot, just the desire.

II’s and One Robinson R44 Raven II. All of our aircraft are
meticulously maintained by an on-staff IA mechanic and all are
outfitted will top of the line interiors and navigational equipment.

Upper Limit Aviation is in the process of submitting 141 training

Upper Limit Aviation Facilities
Spring 2005 has seen the ground breaking with Upper Limit Aviation’s
new home. Located on the general aviation ramp at Salt Lake City
International Airport, the new facility will be modern and
state-of-the-art. Along with the hanger area, the adjoining
office/school will include a lounge, classrooms, locker room facilities
and a break room. In addition, with a full-time mechanic on staff, we
will be able to offer apprenticeship opportunities for A&P
(Airframe and Powerplant) training.
Location
Located in Utah at Salt Lake City International Airport, Upper Limit
Aviation is centered in one of the most diverse helicopter training
areas available in the United States. Our goal is to train highly
qualified pilots. One of the main reasons we located at SLC Int. was to
give our students real-world experience. Our pilots constantly talk to
air traffic control and learn how to work in and around busy airspace.
Additionally, the close proximity of smaller airports and mountainous
training areas all combine to provide an unmatched flight-training
program.
What Utah & SLC Can Offer
If you are considering relocating to conduct your training, take a look
at what Utah and SLC have to offer. With five national parks and
countless incredible mountain ranges, international visitors continue
to flock to Utah year after year. Salt Lake City itself is very safe
and easy to get around. You will find great weather most of the year
and the people are friendly. Its close proximity to "The Greatest Snow
on Earth" and endless other outdoor activities make SLC a prime choice
for the sports enthusiast.
A big city, with small town
appeal, Salt Lake City is active and vibrant. Downtown offers free
outdoor concerts all summer, cultural events, theater, and a great club
scene. The University of Utah and Salt Lake Community College offer
great educational opportunities and the cost of living is very
reasonable.
Safety
Upper Limit Aviation
has been flying since March of 2004. As an active member of HAI
(Helicopter Association International), ULA is committed to safety. We
believe in the constant education of our students and instructors on
the latest safety procedures and regulations. By promoting an
atmosphere of open communication and student/pilot input, we believe
our perfect safety record will continue. It is true the helicopter
industry needs pilots now; however, safe and knowledgeable pilots will
insure continued growth and a solid future for us all.
