The helicopter pilot
fills a unique and specialized role in the world we live in.
Helicopters aid in the transport of injured people, fight forest fires,
provide off shore oil support, news, and tourism just to name a few. At
Mountain Air Helicopters, our goal is to prepare you for what ever
facet of this industry you choose.
Flight Training
At
Mountain Air Helicopters you’ll find something different than at other
schools… one-on-one ground instruction that will ingrain the principles
of flight along with a desire to see you succeed. The concepts you
grasp in the classroom will lead to your capture of the controls in the
air.
Mountain Air Helicopters provides flight training to the
professional student, the one who maintains a desire to be a pilot
mixed with a passion for flight. We train exclusively in Robinson R22
and R44 aircraft and offer training at high altitude in order to best
prepare your for your career in aviation.
Our flight training
program takes great pride in preparing students for an exciting career
in the aviation industry, by using the combination of our high
altitude,mountainous terrain, and challenging off airport landing
areas. As a student in our flight training program, you can expect top
notch instruction from our instructors and a curriculum designed to
provide you with the capability of becoming a professional pilot in the
helicopter industry, and an incredible instructor. Mountain Air is here
for you! Whether you’re a weekend flier or a career minded commercial
pilot, we’re here to meet your needs.
As a flight school, we
understand that each student learns differently and is going to excel
in different areas. We want to cater to each individual’s needs and
that’s why our program has offers one-on-one, hands-on helicopter
training. We’ve created a learning environment that’s professional and
inspiring. Your flight instructor isn’t there to simply tell you how to
fly, but instead to guide you along in your own interpretation and
understanding. Each student is treated as an individual and respected
for his/ her style of learning.
As a professional student, you
can expect to spend at least two hours 5 days per week with us. Some of
that time will be spent flying and some will be spent in the classroom.
We believe that with your desire to learn and our commitment to your
success, you will rapidly excel.
