Private Pilot
- Be at least 17 years old.
- Flight time - 40 hours.
- Dual Instruction - 20 hours.
- Ground School - 35 hours.
- Third Class Medical Certificate
- Pass an FAA Knowledge Exam
- Pass an Oral Flight Exam
Course
Objective -To enable the student pilot to obtain the aeronautical
knowledge, skill and experience necessary to meet the Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA) requirements for a Private Pilot Certificate with
a Rotorcraft category, Helicopter class rating. The Course also
prepares the Student Pilot for the FAA Knowledge and Flight exams.
Course
Description: The Private Pilot Course is designed for those who wish to
fly helicopters for pleasure, and for those who have little or no prior
experience as a pilot.
This course forms the foundation for
becoming a safe, efficient pilot by providing basic flight training so
as to advance the student sequentially from basic to more advanced
maneuvers using a highly detailed syllabus.
Each lesson
includes preflight and post flight briefings and a home study
assignment to ensure complete understanding of each maneuver. Likewise,
during ground training, the student is schooled in all subject areas
covered on the FAA aeronautical knowledge exam and is expected to
complete home study assignments.
Certified Flight Instructor
- Hold Commercial or ATP Pilot Certificate
- Hold Second Class Medical
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Ground Instruction available.
- Pass an FAA Fundamentals of Instruction (FOI) Knowledge Exam
- Pass an Oral / Flight Exam
Course
Objective: To enable the Commercial pilot to obtain the aeronautical
knowledge, skill and experience necessary to meet the Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA} requirements for a Certified Flight Instructor
with a Rotorcraft category. Helicopter class rating. The Course also
prepares the Commercial Pilot for the FAA CFI Knowledge and Flight
exams.
Course Description: This course prepares pilots to
become teachers. CFI’s are the pilots who train the next generation of
pilots, consequently your piloting skills and experience are honed to a
fine degree. As a CFI student you will broaden your knowledge base of
all previous subjects learned during your private/commercial training.
Safety is emphasized.
Commercial Pilot
- Private Pilot Certificate, Rotorcraft, Helicopter.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Flight time - 150 hours total.
- Ground Instruction available
- Second Class Medical
- Pass an FAA Knowledge Exam
- Pass an Oral / Flight Exam
Course

aeronautical knowledge, skill and experience necessary to meet the
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements for a Commercial
Pilot Certificate with a Rotorcraft category, Helicopter class rating.
The Course also prepares the Student Pilot for the FAA Commercial Knowledge and Flight exams.
Course
Description: The Commercial Pilot Course is designed for pilots who
wish to obtain their Commercial Certificate; i.e., they wish to work in
the aviation industry. Advanced training in aeronautical knowledge and
in flight maneuvers is provided.
Aeronautical decision
making, crew resource management, pilot skill, and good pilot judgment
is emphasized throughout the course.
Pilot Add-Ons
The Private Pilot Add-On and the Commercial Pilot Add-On courses are
designed for those who already hold a pilot Certificate but wish to
become rated in helicopters.
The academic and flight
training primarily focuses on those areas particular to helicopter
flying, The courses prepare the student pilot to take the practical
exam.
